Telfar at Studio Museum Harlem

It was the boys vs. the girls tonight at Studio Museum Harlem. On random shuffle: Telfar's FORmales kept it chill on the DL level — de•tatched and plugged-into their sidekicks while Sammie B.'s girls WORKED the runway on the main floor. Viscera's model's could do their thing live in the windows at Bergdorf's along with Niiamar's ladies of the mezzanine.. Don't just stand there, let's get to it — strike a pose, there's nothing to it!

Batty is hungover after one too many fashion parties..

Ricci Albenda was the best roomate I ever had.

It's true blue - I love this guy sooo much! We used to stay up late night and watch Next Generation and Voyager.. Ricci had a yellow-green Budgie named Bean that would fly all the way down our long hallway in our studio and through my door vent and sit on my computer while I worked on K48 (Ricci had special projects in issue #1). Mr. Albenda is a genius and I love these paintings very much. If I could have only one painting in the whole world - I would buy Shipwreck. (Jude in the yellow shirt is Ricci's assistant)

Lily is my rad friend from Amsterdam (K48 Teenage Rebel, issue #3) and she is awesome and her work is terrible and I love it! Go see her show god damn it - it totally fucking rules!! btw: Leo Koenig is an awesome gallery.. but, I do not like those paintings next door - ew! p.s. for my birthday I want: TRANSFER THAT MONEY TO ME

I've been following this young designer since he first started 5 years ago and I haven't missed a show yet! He was featured in K48 in lockdown we bite!, issue #6 and issue #7, Starship Counterforce. TELFAR's S/S 2011 presentation at White Box mixed high tech art and fashion in the smartest of ways with help from art stars Ryan Trecartin (video), Lizzie Fitch (sets) and awesome music by Fatima Al Qadiri and Nick Scholl.
