No Milk Today - Egg Fugue - Mister Lonely
Last night I went to Billy Miller's new art zine, No Milk Today - launch and show which was super rad. This is his second artzine that he has published - the first in the trilogy is called "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again"... look out for the next one which is called, "Dale".Next, I ran over to Daniel Reich Gallery to see the Reeder Brothers perform at their show (Scott & Tyson Reeder — Egg Fugue). Here is a small clip... They make great paintings, sculptures and music!
After, Anne & I snuck into Harmony Korine's new film, "Mister Lonely" which premiered last night at the Tribeca Film Fest. I love this film. It kinda feels like a Werner Herzog film - and he's in it! Werner plays a missionary Christian Father who flys a plane with nuns - going around dropping food. The main story is about a kult of celebrity impersonators that live in a commune in the Highlands of France in an old chateau. I think it's his best film yet... very smart, funny and existential.

One of my favorite new groups is led er est: SHAWNNoEQ + SAMUEL KkLOVENHOOF + OWEN.. They remind me of Front 242 and Chris & Cosey (remember Heartbeat?). They will be on the next K48 #7 soundtrack and Samuel is collaborating with me on the mix. Last night they performed at Pieter Schoolwerth's party, Wierd...Sunday, March 30, 2008

* * *
If I told you you were beautiful, would you date me on the regular? is a one-night-only group show featuring artists who have used media and its by-products to make objects. The title is a quote from Justin Timberlake's My Love, a song that asks how little Timberlake would have to do for you to devote yourself to him utterly. Artists included in the show invert this relationship: demanding culture yield its materials to them for reinvention or repurposing.
This will be the last event at Oliver Kamm's current location—a final dance party designed to privilege interaction and social engagement. In the spirit of a dramatic rejection of systemized forms of cultural production, and as a reaction to the speed with which media is consumed today, the show was conceived, planned, and executed in only three weeks.

This girl started a blog—she's gonna kill herself in 90 days...
Or, we/I thought she was. I think it's some kind of art project?? I don't know but, I love all the reactions it has gotten—read the comments—they are worth making into an art project!

Hood by Air's Fall 2008 season is a mutation of rave, goth & hip hop. There were some awesome graphics on the clothes too created by Ezra (a.k.a. KINGDOM). The dude with the long hair was super hot! Bravo $hayne, Raul & the krew at Oak for putting on a fun show!
